AccreditationIABC’s professional credentialing and certification programs challenge communicators to reach a globally accepted standard of knowledge and proficiency in their chosen field.

Global Certification Program

The Global Communication Certification Council (GCCC), a team of communication professionals assembled by IABC’s international executive board, has developed a new series of professional certifications in 2015.

Accredited Business Communicator program

While IABC honors and respects the history and understanding gained from the Accredited Business Communicator (ABC) program, the new global certification series will take place of the old ABC program in keeping with ISO (17024), an international standard for professional certifications. Many ABCs were involved in guiding the vision for this new program and ABC designees continue to be instrumental in its development.

ABC accredited members are still recognized for their application of the same strategic management process in all communication disciplines, across diverse cultures, and in for-profit and nonprofit organizations of all sizes. Their knowledge of strategic communication planning, implementation, measurement and ethics cannot be matched. More about ABCs and ABC member resources
